Name: Cassandra Medrell Age: 32 Sex: Female Race: Human Profession: Network engineer Location: East Side upper class neighborhoods Affiliations: Government ally Disposition: Cynical, stubborn
Character Background and Description With only so much work to be done, the engineers maintaining computers and the network have the luxury of being picky over their apprentices. The then Cassandra Kholin merely took that as a challenge, and landed herself an apprenticeship barely a year after her Discovery at fourteen, jump-starting her path towards the upper class. While it was never about the social status or the luxuries to her, those facts did comfort her at times when the path was tough.
Approaching two decades later, Cassandra has not built a reputation as a model citizen. Not for lack of trying, she only managed to have two kids by twenty-five years old, both of which turned out barren, at which point she decided to stop wasting her time trying, though even she couldn't completely repress human sexual culture. While those around her were gaining faith, Cassandra decided there were no answers there for her, and casually discarded it. While her husband, William Medrell, has supported her in these decisions, it was a strain on their marriage for a long time as they searched for new meaning in their union.
Today, Cassandra supervises the city's network administration. As such, the government has to go through her if they want something done in that department. They are visibly frustrated with her casual demeanor and nonchalance towards her human duty, but avoid biting the hand that feeds them. Oftentimes, meetings will consist of officials arriving at her office, delivering formal requests as she lounges about, playing with her tight brown curls and appearing to half pay attention. She wonders if they'll ever realize that her lounging posture is to hide just how much shorter than them all she is, but enjoys her minor psychological victories.
